Within the framework of the “Strengthening Women’s Capacity for ProFem Advancements in Armenia” program, the “Women’s Agenda” community meeting was held in the Sisian community. The meeting presented the goals and findings of the research titled “Challenges of Women’s Passive Political Participation in the Regions of Armenia” conducted as part of the program. Examples and issues from various regions were raised and discussed.
The discussions also addressed the reasons behind women’s passive participation in decision-making processes. Participants offered valuable suggestions to enhance women’s involvement in these processes.
A key recommendation was the establishment of a women’s council within the municipality to support and amplify women’s voices in decision-making.
