The workshop included the heads of administrative districts, participants, and other interested members of the community. The mayor of the Areni community was also present at the meeting.”

▶️On the first day of the workshop, participants were introduced to the key concepts of gender equality, socialisation, and gender orientation. The legislative and institutional frameworks for gender equality in Armenia were also discussed. At the end of the day, participants worked in groups to examine four pre-selected sectors: education, healthcare, politics, and business. Within these sectors, they identified examples of both gender inequality and gender justice.

▶️On the second day of the workshop, participants discussed UN Security Council Resolution 13/25 on ‘Women, Peace, and Security,’ its implementation process, and plans for its application in Armenia. Attention was also given to the five-year development programs of Armenian communities, emphasising the importance of their gender orientation and sensitivity.
